1.Malaysia Day on 16 September 2024 is a mandatory public holiday and cannot be replaced with another date.
2.The Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on the same day is an optional public holiday. Private sector employers who choose this as a public holiday must replace it with another holiday on 17 September 2024.
3.Employers also have the option, with employee consent, to replace the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday holiday with a different date.
