The Sabah Labor Department's inspections last year uncovered that 33% of employers breached the Sabah Labor Ordinance. This led to over RM38 million in fines and unpaid salaries, benefiting 135,000+ workers. Employers are urged to familiarize themselves with labor laws to avoid hefty fines of up to RM10,000 per offense.
