Sabah and Sarawak are set to increase maternity and paternity leave, aligning their policies with the Employment Act 1955. Maternity leave will be extended ππ«π¨π¦ ππ ππ¨ ππ πππ²π¬, and paternity leave will be set at seven days. These changes, effective from January 1 last year, also include enhanced protections against discrimination and sexual harassment at work. The amendments will be proposed in the next Parliamentary session scheduled from June 24 to July 18.
